Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering Degree (Electrical Engineering with Professional Engineering license highly preferred)
- 10-years minimum experience, 5-years management level experience building, managing, and mentoring a team
- Utility, Renewables, Power System Engineering Industry Experience
- Knowledge of NEC and Building Codes
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or enterprise CRM systems
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and management skills
- Highly motivated self-starter, friendly personality, and good team player
Responsibilities
- Lead site feasibility and risk assessment of EV charging project development opportunities
- Supervise on creation of development engineering deliverables from conceptual to detailed engineering designs
- Manage external survey and engineering partners to ensure timeline completion and quality control of engineering deliverables
- Collaborate closely with Site Development, Grid Integration, and external engineering consultants to ensure detailed engineering meets utility and code requirements
- Provide technical guidance to the Site Development team during the early site selection phase of the project
- Track the development pipeline of projects to identify desired projects to proceed into development engineering
- Assist in smooth transition of engineering deliverables to the Site Development, Grid Integration, and Project Management teams
- Incorporate lessons learned feedback into conceptual designs whether related to technology or AHJ/ utility specific requirements for certain regions
- Establish standardized designs and specifications for all EVgo projects as they pertain to new programs, technology selection, and regional requirements
- Maintain and report on the pipeline of projects in the development engineering phase and provide productivity metrics of work getting done which inform expectations on deliverable lead times
- Take part in the review process for new technology evaluations as they pertain to incorporations in projects
