Neuromodulation Group OVERVIEW
The Neuromodulation Group develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.
A Day in the Life
The candidate will perform an analysis of the returned explanted products. The position will require interface with fellow technicians, customer support and vigilance personnel, design and reliability engineers, and potentially legal personnel. Information obtained during the analysis will be entered into the Global Complaint Handling (GCH) Data Base System.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may include the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.
- This person must demonstrate competency in electronics. Electro-mechanical knowledge is essential for Infusion Analysis. Knowledge of electronics is crucial to Stimulation products.
- Knowledge of test instruments such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multi-meters, etc.
- Communicates typically with internal contacts and must be able to communicate results clearly and accurately, both verbally and written.
- Seasoned individual contributor, working under limited supervision, assisting and training lower-level employees.
- Run minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, and developing reports.
- Performs technical activities requiring considerable judgment and may own minor projects.
- Most of the documentation related to the analysis is done electronically, including photos, scanning of paperwork, annotations on electronic documents, etc.
- Documented work instructions will always be followed when performing the analysis.
- Work consists of technical tasks that are typically not routine; situations frequently arise where independent thinking, initiative, and analysis beyond that documented are warranted.
- This person may participate in improvement teams or assist with special projects.
- Must attend training on hazards of blood-borne pathogens and ionizing radiation. Safety rules will always be followed within the lab.
- Availability to work overtime when required.
Must-Have: Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of electronics experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
Nice to Have
- Able to respond to changing priority requests within the lab. Multi-tasking is an essential part of the position.
- Previous experience working in a biohazard lab environment.
- Team experience.
- Previous repair/analysis work experience.
- The analysis also involves visual examination. The use of a microscope is essential when performing analysis.
- Medical Device background.
- Knowledge using Windows-based computers, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$57,600.00 - $86,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
