- A valid state driver’s license
- 5+ years of experience in a managerial role at a Distribution Center, including Transportation Management experience
- Branch operations experience preferred in a similar industry
- Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with direct and indirect reports, across functional departments, with external business contact
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Advanced understanding of KPIs and Continuous Improvement; LEAN background preferred
- Ability to operate Forklift and pass certification (existing certification preferred)
- Proven history of initiating and completing cost savings initiatives
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Working knowledge of WMS & TMS systems required
- In-depth MS Office knowledge
- Managing direct and indirect reports to achieve daily KPIs while delivering excellent customer service
- Promoting and actively maintaining a Safety-First workplace and culture
- Working daily with local sales team members and customers to assure world-class service and order fulfillment
- Managing all branch inventory, inbound, and outbound shipments and facility maintenance
- Managing the Branch budget and reviewing regularly, with variance accountability
- Managing warehouse labor, including full-time and temporary employee hours and adjusting according to established procedures and varying workloads
- Maintaining performance records and providing feedback on performance, including coaching & disciplinary actions as needed
- Managing the scheduling of daily transportation with logistics service providers (LTL, FedEx, UPS, etc.); ensuring preferred freight carriers are utilized and billing is completed accurately
- Managing the scheduling and performance of the local Soligent Private Fleet and drivers
- Coordinating with the Regional Distribution Manager to address organizational needs, equipment utilization and maintenance
- Ensuring that operational supplies and equipment are on-hand and available at all times
- Maintaining a high degree of inventory accuracy, facilitate daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to assure net-zero inventory adjustments
- Ensuring that Distribution Center operations comply with federal, state, local, and/or company policies and regulations
- Identifying, documenting, and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
- Performing other duties as assigned by manager
