Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Two to three years of experience in events management, budget management, and student programming are required.
  • Project management and leadership skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software applications, are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Ability to manage others is required; student intern management experience is preferred.
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills, with an analytic approach to continually refine best practices and innovate, are required.
  • Excellent and diplomatic interpersonal and communication skills in person, by phone, and email are required.
  • Ability to work independently and with Georgetown Entrepreneurship colleagues is required.
  • Ability to envision, plan, execute, and evaluate events, with a strong ability to multitask, is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce, Airtable, or another customer relationship management solution system is required.
Responsibilities
  • Directly oversee and support multiple entrepreneurship-related student clubs at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Create and implement programs focused on special interests such as entrepreneurship and health, entrepreneurship and sustainability, and venture capital.
  • Develop and oversee startup internship programs.
  • Develop and support living-learning communities.
  • Organize speaker events.
  • Maintain a database of student engagement.
  • Provide management support for Georgetown Entrepreneurship's day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
  • Provide regular budget updates and financial information to the team.
  • Supervise and manage student associates throughout the year.
  • Interact with students and student groups through student programming and program development.
  • Represent the McDonough School and the Entrepreneurship Initiative accurately and persuasively before external and internal audiences, including members of the Washington, D.C. business and startup communities, alumni, donors, and current and prospective students.
