About G2 - Our People
G2 was founded to create a place where people will love to work. We strive to create meaning in work and provide more than just a job: a true calling. At the heart of our community and culture are our people. Our global G2 team comes from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and that’s what makes our G2 community strong and vibrant. We want everyone to bring their authentic selves to work, and we do this through our company and team events, our G2 Gives charitable initiatives, and our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
Our employee-led, leadership-supported ERGs celebrate the diversity of our team, foster inclusivity and belonging, and create a space to connect to each other. Through connections and understanding, we build a stronger and more dynamic global team and help every person reach their personal peak.
We support our employees by offering generous benefits, such as flexible work, ample parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Click here to learn more about our benefits.

About The Role
As a Summer Intern within the Office of the CEO you will be joining a team which spearheads strategic initiatives and works cross-functionally with G2 teams. You will develop a deep understanding of G2’s business and our unique datasets. The ideal candidate is self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of driving complex analyses. The role will report to the Chief of Staff of the CEO and have the ability to make a significant impact on the company from day one. You will have influence on strategic projects, gathering, analyzing, and presenting data findings and solutions to the leaders within the organization. You’ll also collaborate with the Revenue Strategy & Analytics team.
As a member of the Office of the CEO you’ll have 3 main projects:
- Collaborate with the Chief of Staff and the Research and Marketing departments to iterate on a quarterly “G2 State of Software” using G2’s proprietary dataset of 2M+ verified reviews containing customer feedback and ratings on 130,000+ software products and service providers. For the second report, you will explore datasets which were not included in V1, recommending additional insights, and you’ll help automate the production of key datapoints which were included in V1.
- Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to automate tracking of G2’s M&A opportunities to monitor changes in customer sentiment, fundraising data, and new activity related to targets. Update the existing M&A watchlist and present to the Senior Leadership Team on additional opportunities for consideration.
- Using G2’s reporting tools, prepare an analysis of progress to date on G2’s FY24 category strategy, analyzing the extent to which the achievement of key milestones for a child software category on G2.com is correlated with an increase in revenue in the 6+ months after the target is achieved.
We are open to candidates from any major, but expect this role to be most relevant to those with an Economics, Math, or Finance background who are looking for opportunities in strategy or finance roles.
