About your new role:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager. This pivotal role involves guiding a small but expanding team through a period of rapid innovation. You’ll oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

This individual requires a strong technical background in both back-end and front-end development, encompassing expertise in areas such as software architecture, database management, API design, and user interface design. Additionally, this role involves leading and mentoring to ensure efficient product delivery, aligning technical strategies with business objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the engineering team.

This is a Full-Time, 100% Remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor 2 to 3 engineering teams, setting goals and fostering innovation.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and efficient product delivery.
• Align technical strategies with business goals, steering the roadmap and architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security across systems.
• Stay hands-on, guiding technical direction and mentoring talent to support professional growth.

What you'll need for success:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science (Master’s preferred) and 5+ years of engineering leadership, ideally in SaaS.
• Expertise in PHP, React, and Python, with experience in agile environments and microservices architecture.
• Strong ability to attract, mentor, and retain engineering talent.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance solutions in a remote setting.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
