JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE
The Director within Decision Sciences at Targetbase is responsible for the execution and delivery of the analytical solutions which meet client business needs. The Director works directly with the analytical lead on the account as well as other cross-competency team members to create and validate project-level analytical plans. He/she is responsible for the full execution of these plans (through final client deliverable) for their assigned projects. The Director ensures that the assigned manager and analysts are well briefed on the project (the briefing should start with objectives and include reviews of the analytical plan and the data sources to be leveraged) and provides ongoing support throughout the analysis. His/her job is to ensure the analysis meets the client objectives and that the quality of the deliverable meets Targetbase standards (including answering the “what” and the “so what”).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with managers and/or analysts to execute the analysis, providing both hands-on analysis themselves as well as direction and guidance for the managers or analysts on the project
- Works closely with the analytical lead, cross-competency members of the team, and directly with the client to ensure analyses make an impact for the client
- Ensures timelines and budgets of assigned projects are met
- Develops analytical consulting skills by proactively identifying opportunities (that come from an assessment of client needs and data insights); these ideas should be vetted with the analytical lead to help drive the analytical road map forward
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 7+ years of applied analytics experience
- Experience in some or all of the following areas of marketing analysis: segmentation, predictive analytics, digital analytics, measurement, business intelligence, and/or market research
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced education is preferred
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY
- Effective communication skills
- Capable of leading behavioral analysis and research initiatives from project design through communication/dissemination of relevant findings
- Advanced analysis techniques
- Knowledgeable of R, Python and/or OLAP or data mining tools
