- Perform solid waste management facility design and permitting, and oversee quality assurance.
- Conduct dam, reservoir, stormwater treatment area, and levee inspections.
- Lead proposals for professional engineering and construction services.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites and other business locations as needed.
- A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- An advanced degree in civil and/or geotechnical engineering is preferred.
- Experience working on projects valued at $1 million to $25 million is preferred.
- Prior experience working on projects led or co-led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or one of Florida's Water Management Districts is preferred.
- Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and eBuilder is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee engineering and other technical and administrative staff is preferred.

Geosyntec and partners honored with NGWA Groundwater Awareness Project Award. Geosyntec practitioners received the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) Groundwater Awareness Project Award for their contributions to California's statewide sampling program to monitor per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in public water systems in economically disadvantaged communities. The project was led by Wendy Linck and Dan Newton of the California State Water Resources Control Board in collaboration with Brian Currier of the Office of Water Programs at Sacramento State, Babcock Laboratories, Inc., and Geosyntec. Geosyntec led the planning and collection of PFAS samples throughout the state. Its team included more than 50 Geosyntec employees from 17 offices and was supported by leadership from Elisabeth Hawley, PE, and Rula Deeb, PhD, BCEEM, PMP. The project team will be recognized at Groundwater Week 2026 in December. This multi-year grant-funded project increased awareness of PFAS in groundwater statewide and improved protection for public water supplies in disadvantaged communities, demonstrating how strong partnerships can effectively address emerging technologies and public health concerns. The project provides a blueprint for water systems to protect water quality and meet evolving PFAS regulations. About Geosyntec's involvement with the California statewide PFAS sampling program. To support California's statewide PFAS sampling program, Geosyntec sampled untreated groundwater supply wells on behalf of water systems over the course of two years. During this time, Geosyntec field staff coordinated with public water systems to sample approximately 150 wells per month. Sample status and schedules were tracked using a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based map and database. For water systems that wished to conduct their own sampling, Geosyntec developed training resources, including an online training video and step-by-step instructions. In addition, Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. packed and delivered sampling kits and supplies with easy-to-follow instructions to maintain sample quality and streamline sample packing and shipping. Geosyntec earns 2026 Outstanding Geotechnical Engineering Project Award. Geosyntec was honored with the Outstanding Geotechnical Engineering Project Award by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Orange County Branch for its work as prime geotechnical consultant on behalf of Orange County Waste & Recycling at the Prima Deshecha Landfill. Members of the Geosyntec team, along with representatives of Orange County Waste & Recycling, received the award at a dinner on May 6, 2026, in Fullerton, California. The project, a composite liner groundwater protection system for Zone 4 Phase A of the landfill, is one of the largest capital improvement projects in California's Orange County and is anticipated to result in approximately 10 million cubic yards of landfill space. In support of this project, Geosyntec's Yonas Zemuy, PE; Goodwin Wharton, PG; Sneha Upadhyaya, PhD, PE led its team with support from Alex Greene, PG, CEG; and David Ayres, PG, CEG in work to stabilize a deep landslide in a geologically complex, fault-controlled area. To do this, Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. employed an innovative staged slot excavation and seismic-resilient design. Integrating advanced slope analysis, adaptive construction sequencing, and groundwater control, its work helps protect critical landfill infrastructure and sets a benchmark for large-scale geotechnical stabilization projects.
