Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as chemistry, biology, or engineering; advanced degree from an accredited university is a must
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a product integrity or related role within the CPG, Medical Device and/or apparel industry
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to product safety and quality, including CPSC, FDA and EPA regulation
  • Strong understanding of product testing standards and validation methodologies.experience working with 3rd party certification and testing labs
  • Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to develop and implement risk mitigation plans related to product quality and safety
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, and the ability to apply these methodologies to improve product quality and efficiency
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes
  • Experience with consumer complaint management processes, including complaint investigation, resolution, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing teams and driving results through others
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions based on available information
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement product testing and validation plans to ensure product safety and quality
  • Lead and support the development of product quality standards and specifications to ensure consistency and reliability of products
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory affairs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Develop and manage a team of product integrity professionals to support product development and launch and full compliance to market regulations
  • Work closely with the product development, strategic sourcing and M&A teams to provide guidance on product safety and quality issues
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure accurate and appropriate product claims and messaging
  • Analyze product data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, industry associations, and testing lab
  • Collaborate seamlessly with various external and internal stakeholders including Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Quality Assurance, Legal Compliance, Product Launch and Brand Management Teams
  • Collaborate with teams located in different time zones, including China and India, to ensure effective communication and alignment on product integrity issues, new product launches and quality issues
