Responsibilities
  • Set and monitor counterparty credit limits and ratings, including performing detailed credit analysis by reviewing due diligence, counterparty profiles, and transaction request memos.
  • Review documentation terms and propose appropriate risk mitigation.
  • Approve or decline transactions within delegated individual credit authority and provide recommendations to Senior Credit Risk Management committees and risk approvers for larger exposures.
  • Manage the end-to-end credit lifecycle of individual transactions and counterparties, including onboarding, limit setting, exposure monitoring, and early warning identification.
  • Monitor the portfolio, including identifying emerging risks and trends across the portfolio and assessing concentration risks.
  • Interface with senior management, business units, internal and external regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
  • Support digitalization and artificial intelligence initiatives in this area and support internal and external audit engagements.

Deutsche Bank announces $565M share buyback from 2026 earnings after posting record $4.6B profit

Deutsche Bank also announced the sale of its Private Bank's India franchise, which is expected to be positive for shareholder value when completed next year. The bank maintained its 60% payout ratio and confirmed confidence in achieving its 2028 targets.

Deutsche Bank reported record first-half results for 2026, generating €17.2 billion in revenue and €4.1 billion in post-tax profit — its highest-ever half-year profit.
