- A bachelor’s degree or higher in exercise science/exercise physiology, current American College of Sports Medicine certification, or current National Commission for Certifying Agencies-accredited health/fitness-related certifications (e.g., American Council on Exercise, National Council on Strength and Fitness, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Cooper Institute)
- Lead and organize independent living exercise classes and personal training for individuals and groups.
- Provide orientation and assessments for individuals to actively participate in fitness programs.
- Prepare and deliver health education programming to promote opportunities for enhanced personal wellness.
- Publicize and oversee wellness events at the community.
- Strategy, development, operations and evaluation of fitness and physical activities.
- Maintaining the fitness rooms and equipment.
- Assuring safety and cleanliness of all fitness facilities.
- Promoting active resident participation in appropriate exercise and physical activities programs.
- Senior fitness/strength training certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
