Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in exercise science/exercise physiology, current American College of Sports Medicine certification, or current National Commission for Certifying Agencies-accredited health/fitness-related certifications (e.g., American Council on Exercise, National Council on Strength and Fitness, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Cooper Institute)
Responsibilities
  • Lead and organize independent living exercise classes and personal training for individuals and groups.
  • Provide orientation and assessments for individuals to actively participate in fitness programs.
  • Prepare and deliver health education programming to promote opportunities for enhanced personal wellness.
  • Publicize and oversee wellness events at the community.
  • Strategy, development, operations and evaluation of fitness and physical activities.
  • Maintaining the fitness rooms and equipment.
  • Assuring safety and cleanliness of all fitness facilities.
  • Promoting active resident participation in appropriate exercise and physical activities programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Senior fitness/strength training certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
