Requirements
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent military education; participation in the formal GE HealthCare Biomed/Field Engineer Services Internship, Apprenticeship, or Military Externship program; or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
  • Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass the standard background check and post-offer drug test, and comply with customer access policies, immunization requirements, and any additional checks or drug tests.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds unassisted and frequently perform bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching or squatting, kneeling or crawling, sitting, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex and extend the neck; and use good hand and finger dexterity.
  • Required color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work after hours or a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage.
Responsibilities
  • Complete on-time and accurate preventative maintenance, Field Modification Instructions, and Instrument Service Information tasks.
  • Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
  • Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs for designated equipment.
  • Communicate and partner effectively with teammates and colleagues.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
  • Partner with customers and recommend value-added services that improve business efficiency.
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and manage cycle times.
  • Use the GE HealthCare escalation process and work with regional and national support to define and implement corrective action plans for customer issues.
  • Serve as a member of the account community for key accounts.
  • Engage commercial counterparts, identify potential sales leads, participate in contract renewals and other sales opportunities, and assist with revenue programs.
  • Build and enhance customer relationships by focusing on customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitor information and market trends.
  • Answer service calls independently within one year of employment.
  • Comply with the GE HealthCare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, quality goals, applicable laws and regulations, and Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. All three systems use cSound imaging technology and include AI-enabled automation tools to streamline echo workflows. GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue, expanding its breast imaging portfolio with solutions for supplemental screening in women with dense breasts. GE HealthCare Q2: Orders up 11%, backlog hits record $23.9B amid Patient Care struggles
