Nuro exists to better everyday life through robotics. Founded in 2016, Nuro is a leading autonomous technology company with vehicles on road today in California and Texas. The company’s core technology is the Nuro Driver, an integrated autonomous driving system consisting of state-of-the-art, AI-first software and custom-built sense and compute hardware. The first commercial application of the Nuro Driver is autonomous goods delivery with our custom, electric, zero-occupant vehicles in partnership with some of the most recognized brands in the world including Uber and FedEx.
About the Role
We are looking for a Hardware Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help Nuro deliver next generation Compute based on automotive grade Systems on a Chip designs - and we are looking for TPMs with direct experience launching these types of products. This role would help coordinate our next generation Compute development efforts. This includes driving program progress and schedule, interfacing with suppliers/partners, and working with all the cross-functional teams.
About the Work
- Act as the internal “glue” by communicating and coordinating across all teams including software and hardware engineering, operations, material planning and finance.
- Coordinate requirements gathering and prioritization with the cross-functional teams.
- Drive program timelines and milestones on critical paths defined by program leads, identify and mitigate risks, resolve dependencies, unblock progress, and escalate issues.
- Work closely with internal safety, systems, operations and engineering leads to define readiness of the hardware and safely launch.
- Regularly communicate progress to company leadership and program partners.
- Coordinate communication and task management between internal team and external suppliers/partners.
- Potentially 5% travel domestically and/or internationally.
About You
- You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering and/or equivalent technical experience/aptitude.
- You have full lifecycle experience with at least one product or program from launch to sustaining that product.
- You can navigate the development and manufacturing process for both internal builds and external partners.
- You are an excellent communicator, relationship builder and thrive in multi-functional team engagement.
- You are impeccably organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and have strong presentation and multidisciplinary management skills.
- You are adept at learning and using various project management and database tools.
- You have the ability to work with a variety of people and assist in holding them accountable to deliverables.
- You have start-up DNA and have shown the ability to thrive in the ambiguity of a dynamic environment.
- You have a real passion for helping drive the delivery of creative products leveraging AI, robotics and/or machine learning.

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $125,400 and $188,100 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
