The mission of the role
The Facilities Technician is an energetic self-starter, responsible for supporting facility maintenance and work requests associated with Veev’s Operations in Hayward, CA. The position will troubleshoot equipment, perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and support department initiatives. The position also supports the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives by routinely inspecting equipment and general conditions of the buildings.

Demonstrate solid technical skills as it relates to electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and work instructions.
Responsibilities
Ensure that facility maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with Veev standards and policies.
Uses troubleshooting and analytical skills to determine the root cause of mechanical and electrical failures. Implement corrective action.
Participates in all emergency related programs including emergency evacuation, first aid, emergency response, and interaction with local emergency response agencies.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Performs basic mechanic functions including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines, Facilities, HVAC, painting, and some carpentry.
Maintains equipment, parts, and consumable supply inventory.
Supports EHS initiatives, equipment, facility audits and procedures.
Requirements, Knowledge and Experience
Vocational school or completion of an apprentice program in the electrical or mechanical field.
Minimum of 2 years of facilities experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with motors, pneumatic tools, compressor systems, HVAC, boilers, fire suppression, and production machines.
Strong communication, documentation, desktop applications, and electronic maintenance management systems.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Compensation
Depending upon experience, the Bay Area and California hourly pay range is between $36.06 to $45.68 per hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly range, we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the hourly range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, business or organizational needs.
