Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Ability to work under GxP regulations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where multiple concurrent projects must be completed in a timely manner.

  • Ability to lift and carry laboratory samples, equipment, and a laptop weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment and work effectively in freezers as cold as -80°C.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly, listen to spoken information, and interact with diverse groups.
  • Ability to perform under stress, multitask, and maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Availability during core work hours, with occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work.
Responsibilities
  • Accession samples into the laboratory information management system.
  • Import electronic sample data into the electronic sample management system.
  • Notify appropriate client or study personnel when samples are received.
  • Maintain sample chain of custody.
  • Review study sample demographic data for consistency across sample labels, study paperwork, and electronic sample management systems.
  • Investigate and correct sample discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Stage samples for testing according to schedules and requests.
  • Check out pre-test samples and check in post-test samples.
  • Ensure samples are ready for analysis through accessioning and staging schedules.
  • Manage pre-test and post-test sample storage.
  • Maintain sample storage unit operability, including routine maintenance and temperature monitoring.
  • Ship samples to domestic and international destinations.
  • Disposition samples as directed by clients.
  • Provide information for quality assurance unit, client, or regulatory agency audit reports.
  • Generate and maintain records in a GxP-compliant manner.
  • Assist with collecting metrics data.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Receive shipments into Sample Management when needed.
  • Initiate sample chain of custody for received shipments.
  • Build study sample metadata in the laboratory information management system.
  • Prepare sample manifest files for import into the electronic sample management system.
  • Follow BioAgilytix standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

BioAgilytix Labs has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for its anti-AAV antibody assay supporting Lexeo Therapeutics' gene therapy programme for Friedreich ataxia cardiomyopathy, a rare progressive disorder affecting approximately 15,000 people worldwide. The plate-based MSD anti-adeno-associated virus serotype rh.10 total antibody assay enables precise patient selection and monitoring for gene therapy programmes. The FDA's Breakthrough Device Designation expedites development and review of novel medical devices treating life-threatening or irreversibly debilitating conditions. BioAgilytix is among a limited number of contract research organisations to receive breakthrough designation for a diagnostic assay supporting an investigational device exemption.
