ESAB raises 2026 outlook to $3B-$3.1B after closing Eddyfi acquisition ahead of schedule

ESAB Corporation reported record total core sales and adjusted EBITDA in Q2 2026, driven by double-digit growth in automation and equipment. The company successfully transformed its portfolio mix, with equipment now comprising over 50% of revenue, up from 38% historically, expanding gross margins by approximately 500 basis points. ESAB closed the Eddyfi acquisition ahead of schedule, positioning itself as a global leader in inspection and monitoring technologies. The company raised its full-year 2026 outlook to $3bn–$3.1bn in total core sales, assuming organic growth of 2%–4%. The Middle East operations, representing 7%–8% of total business, saw volumes decline 10%–11% due to regional conflict. ESAB experienced transitory margin pressure from increased logistics and commodity costs, which management expects to address through pricing and cost-reduction activities. Eddyfi is anticipated to be dilutive to neutral in Q4 2026 before becoming accretive in 2027.

ESAB Q1 revenue beats expectations at $745.6M despite operating margin decline

ESAB reported first-quarter revenue of $745.6 million, beating analyst estimates of $728.9 million with 9.9% year-on-year growth. However, adjusted earnings per share of $1.31 missed expectations of $1.34. Operating margin declined to 12.1% from 16.2% in the prior-year quarter. CEO Shyam Kambeyanda attributed the revenue performance to strong execution of the company's compounder strategy and successful integration of recent acquisitions. The Americas segment showed steady results, whilst Europe and Asia Pacific delivered notable share gains despite geopolitical disruptions. Management expects volume growth to inflect positive in the second half due to easier comparisons and acquisition contributions. The company is implementing pricing actions to offset cost pressures from commodities and freight, targeting price-cost neutrality near-term with potential margin improvement later in the year.
