Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology or administration, specializing in information systems or security, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience in information security, security architecture, solution architecture, or technology risk.
  • Relevant professional designations such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, Canadian Systems Security Professional, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT are an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including ISO 27001, NIST, Zero-Trust Architecture, CSA CCM, and COBIT.
  • Experience supporting major technology transformations, cloud adoption initiatives, and the secure implementation of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence-enabled solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of application security, cloud security, systems security, and applicable security technologies and controls.
  • Strong understanding of architecture principles and integration patterns and their application in complex enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle processes and Agile/DevSecOps delivery methods.
  • Knowledge and experience with programming, scripting, and query languages are an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead security architecture activities for technology and business initiatives by defining security architecture requirements and ensuring their integration into solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture direction.
  • Review and assess solution architectures, cloud services, technology platforms, applications, and integrations to identify security risks and recommend design patterns and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture patterns and blueprints to support the secure delivery of technology solutions.
  • Contribute to the definition, evolution, and implementation of the information security architecture vision, standards, and guiding principles.
  • Conduct third-party security risk assessments and ensure security requirements and recommendations are reflected in contractual arrangements and operational practices.
  • Partner with project teams, business lines, and architects throughout the delivery lifecycle to provide expert security guidance and support risk-informed decisions.
  • Represent Information Security in architecture reviews and cross-functional working groups to embed security considerations in initiatives.
  • Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving threats to enhance security architecture capabilities.

Air Canada unlocks $2.5B from Aeroplan in 25% stake sale to Blackstone and Canadian institutions

Air Canada is selling a 25% stake in its Aeroplan loyalty programme to an investor group led by Blackstone and La Caisse for $2.5 billion, valuing the programme at $10 billion. The airline will retain 75% ownership and full operational control. Air Canada plans to use the proceeds to repay a US$1.2 billion debt maturity and fund share buybacks, including an $800 million substantial issuer bid expected to complete in September. The investor group also includes PSP Investments and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. Air Canada retains the right to repurchase the investors' stake between the fifth and eighth anniversaries of the transaction. The investment is scheduled to settle on 17 August 2026.

ADIA, PSP Investments buy $16.3M stake in SG Mart as shares rise 5%

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and PSP Investments acquired a combined 1.68% stake in SG Mart for ₹138 crore on 14 July. ADIA purchased 11.23 lakh shares (0.89% stake) for approximately ₹72.99 crore at ₹650 per share, whilst PSP Investments bought 10 lakh shares (0.79% stake) for ₹64.99 crore at ₹649.98 per share. The building materials solutions provider's shares rose 5% to close at ₹654.15 on the National Stock Exchange following the transaction. The institutional buying coincided with HR Global Manufacturing's exit, which sold a 1.74% stake worth ₹143 crore. HR Global subsequently acquired shares in Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services for ₹40.73 crore, suggesting portfolio rebalancing rather than concerns about SG Mart's fundamentals.
