About the role

We are looking for a Transportation Supervisor to join our Distribution Center department to assist our Outbound team with organizing food and material handling inventory and transporting inventory from our distribution facility to our vehicle hubs. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with departments within the organization to ensure all policies are followed
• Overseeing the loading and unloading of all inventory to ensure that it is safely handled
• Establishing routes and schedules for drivers to follow
• Assigning routes to the drivers and ensuring all safety procedures in vehicles
• Supervising employees performances. 
• Overseeing transported food items that must be kept under refrigerated conditions
• Assist outbound team with organizing food and material handling inventory upon delivery
• Ensure accurate inventory of received / delivered items
• Ensure deadlines are met in relation to delivery time
• Other related tasks may be assigned 

Transportation Supervisor role details

• Salary: $27/hr
• Job location:  Fairfield
• Morning Shift: Must be available for an 8 hour shift between the hours 5am-4pm
• Weekends are required 

The experience you have

• 3+ years of experience supervising a team 
• Leading a team of drivers or related experience 
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Experience driving commercial vehicle is a plus (26 box foot truck) 
• Must be Microsoft proficient 
• Clean driving record
• No major moving violations or license suspensions for at least 3 years
• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, DOT physical
