The InfraSec Team is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all healthcare data, client information, intellectual property, and employee data entrusted to our organization. The InfraSec Team excels in technical expertise and security, ensuring robust protection across both corporate and production environments. 

Our core mission centers on constructing and upholding Nuna’s AWS Cloud Infrastructure. We meticulously design AWS solutions that optimize performance, cost-effectiveness, security, and compliance through Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Our responsibilities encompass deploying, provisioning, scaling services, and managing AWS networking. We collaborate closely with the Compliance Team to uphold stringent security standards, assuring our customers that we are responsible custodians of their data. To stay ahead of evolving threats, we build and maintain automated solutions, nurture a security-aware culture, and continually challenge assumptions. Our commitment extends to the healthcare and security communities through leadership, education, and open-source contributions.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

A successful candidate in this role will:

• Design, architect, and build AWS infrastructure to meet business requirements by selecting appropriate AWS services and resources for optimal performance and cost-efficiency
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform
• Monitor and maintain existing AWS  infrastructure
• Provide technical support to Nunas experiencing AWS-related and tooling issues
• Work closely with Security Engineers on the same team as well as Nunas Compliance and Legal Teams to ensure that our systems are secure and compliant
• Lead from a technical, architectural, and project management perspective, and shepherd technical decisions to completion

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience designing and implementing AWS systems that integrates security and resiliency using Infrastructure as Code technologies
• Proven excellence in leadership, organizational, and communication skills 
• Proficient with at least 1 configuration and scripting language (e.g. Python, Terraform, Cloudformation, Puppet, Bolt, Go, Bash) with experience applying fundamental computer science & software engineering practices
• Proficient with log analysis and auditing platforms such as Splunk
• Track record of success shepherding medium to large projects involving multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare compliance and security regulations (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc)
• Interest or background in data analysis and processing and familiarity with big data engines such as Apache Spark, Databricks, JupyterHub
• Any active AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Cloud Security Architect, Network Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Systems Administrator, Cloud Engineer, Application Architect, Cloud Data Engineer, Software Development Engineer, Test Engineer

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $195,000 to $250,000 The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
