Tavily offers a search API for large language models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to access up-to-date, verifiable information from many online sources. The API returns optimized, contextually relevant results that AI agents can use to perform research, answer questions, and reduce confabulations. It differentiates itself by pairing a usage-based commercial API with an open-source project (GPT Researcher) that showcases practical use and builds a developer community. The goal is to become a core tool for AI development by providing reliable external knowledge and scalable, verifiable data access for AI agents and applications.

Auto-Tool AI turns supplier research into quality scorecards in minutes. Mar 3, 2026 Adversarial AI Pipeline Replace manual supplier research with AI-powered auto-tool selection that transforms basic vendor queries into structured quality scorecards - demonstrated turning 'how to evaluate project management suppliers' into summarized reports with step-by-step assessment criteria. Hatz AI's integration of Perplexity, Firecrawl, and Tavily scrapes supplier data, reads documentation, and synthesizes findings that would take procurement teams hours to compile manually. From the source. "You can take what would be a normal Google search with some research and reading articles and clicking around and saving tabs... but you can turn that into something that is more interactive, that's more of a conversation, and with AI can lead to truly actionable steps." - Automated Supplier Quality Scorecard (2 videos: Your First 5 AI Use Cases (AI Navigator Certification) | Hatz AI | Math & Spreadsheet Analysis for Data Insights) Its take. IndustrialEngineer.ai see procurement teams spending 4-6 hours per supplier on qualification research. When auto-tool AI compresses that to 20 minutes while delivering more comprehensive scorecards, the math is simple: a team evaluating 50 suppliers per quarter recovers 200+ hours annually. Key takeaways. * 019 out of 10 users report daily AI use for search/research - redirect this to structured supplier evaluation * 02Auto-tool selection intelligently chooses between Perplexity (summaries), Firecrawl (page scraping), and Tavily (filtered search) based on query type * 03Python code interpreter enables statistical analysis of supplier performance data with higher accuracy than LLMs alone * 04Transforms scattered Google results into actionable supplier assessment criteria and scoring frameworks * 05Secure chat foundation ensures supplier data and evaluation criteria stay confidential Watch the source.
