Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least one (1) year of mortgage sales experience.
  • NMLS/SAFE license, at least 1 active license or the ability to be licensed without retaking the SAFE exam.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and workplace policies; ability to analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, procedures, and governmental regulations; ability to write professional correspondences; ability to write routine business reports; ability to speak effectively with other employees and/or customers; ability to present formal information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees; ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, employees, customers and/or the public.
  • Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference; fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry; ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions; ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • If applicable, the role requires ability to work in a typical interior office environment and the position may require standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, as per Physical Demands.
Responsibilities
  • Analyzes applicant information to determine whether the customer qualifies for a beneficial loan program.
  • Assists customers in discussing financial objectives and goals and takes the initial loan application.
  • Clearly communicates the loan program terms and benefits available to the customer as well as the loan process.
  • Ensures all required documents are returned and disclosures are signed in a timely manner.
  • Follows our sales process and QA requirements to remain compliant.
  • Continually meets and/or exceeds the Sales KPI’s set by Management.
  • Is responsive to customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is clear, concise, and professional when speaking with customers.
  • Is eager to develop knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Has strong knowledge of mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
