Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or combination of finance/operations roles
  • Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting and financial modeling
  • Adept use of Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI to extrapolate data and create meaningful reports for end users
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with others in the organization

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other short-term financial planning
  • Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide variance analysis with actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside sales and other business leaders to drive accurate revenue and cost inputs to improve forecasts
  • Assist in incorporating macro-economic and industry trends into the forecasting process
  • Serve as a financial partner to regional leadership, providing information and guidance in a clear and concise manner
  • Manage business unit’s expenses to budget and continuously work to eradicate unnecessary costs
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support decision-making and operational initiatives
  • Assess pricing strategies, manage cost inputs, and analyze profitability to optimize financial performance
  • Evaluate capital investments and resource allocations to maximize returns
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and exposure in the business unit and apprise senior leadership of any potential concerns
  • Collaborate with centralized accounting teams to support month-end close activities and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on monthly and quarterly basis vs operation plan
  • Partner with corporate FP&A to align forecasting and budgeting processes with company objectives
  • Assist in managing cash flow by supporting improvements in Days on Hand (DOH), Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)
  • Work closely with HR, operations, and sales teams to align financial goals with business objectives
  • Assist in financial due diligence and business integration efforts when applicable
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the home improvement/restoration/home design industry preferred
  • Experience in the relevant industry or sector is often preferred but not always required

It partners with the 20 largest homebuilders to run branded or builder-branded Design Studios that let homebuyers visualize and customize finishes using visualization software with gaming features. Interior Logic Group, Inc. and Interior Specialists, Inc. announced a merger to form the largest interior finish services company in the US, with $1.5 billion in revenue. The new company, headquartered in Irvine, CA, will have over 4,300 employees and 225 locations. Alan Davenport will be President & CEO, and Mark Fikse will be Executive VP. The merger, backed by Littlejohn & Co. and Platinum Equity, is expected to close in Q2 2018, with Bank of America Merrill Lynch arranging debt financing.
