Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual status.
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Must have 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Database Management Specialist in an enterprise resource planning environment.
  • Must have 2 years of experience specifically in an SAP environment.
  • Must have 1 year of SAP database management experience in Financial Accounting, Controlling, Funds Management, or Supply Management.
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense 8570 certification or obtain it before onboarding to the program.
  • Must have at least one security certification, with preference in this order for Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information Security Manager, or Certified Ethical Hacker; similar certifications may be accepted case by case.
  • Must have experience in agile development implementation.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be local to the DC Metro area and willing to work on the client site in Washington, DC, up to five days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support specifically dedicated to the requirements of the project team.
  • Perform data entry, database queries, data research, and report generation activities in a relational database environment.
  • Support evaluation of available Database Management System products to support validated user requirements.
  • Support defining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
  • Test and assist in implementing changes or new database designs.
  • Monitor database usage and statistics based on established guidelines.
  • Work with clients to ensure database solutions satisfy objectives defined in security and operational requirements.
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design processes and procedures for database maintenance of SAP and related application systems.
  • Support enhancement requests and resolve reported incidents within defined service level agreements.
  • Prepare progress reports for internal leadership and clients, and monitor project progress.
  • Mitigate risks, address issues, interface with clients, and keep leadership informed on project status.
  • Develop bases of estimates and program schedules for multiple solution alternatives as needed.
  • Support white papers, root cause analyses, and other solution-related documentation as needed.
  • Provide support to management and perform assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference is given to candidates with current or recent Department of Defense experience.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework and/or DevSecOps is preferred.
