Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Five or more years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering roles is required.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# are required.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major user-interface automation framework, such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, is required.
  • Solid experience automating REST and/or gRPC application programming interfaces is required.
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for test automation is required.
  • Solid SQL skills and experience with database validation are required.
  • Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and modern web architectures is required.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is required.
  • The candidate must complete a mandatory technical coding assessment.
  • The candidate must work directly as a full-time W2 employee; C2C, 1099, and third-party arrangements are not accepted.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web, application programming interface, mobile, and microservice testing.
  • Write production-quality automated test code in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or Pact.
  • Implement contract testing using Pact or similar tools to validate service contracts in microservice ecosystems.
  • Build comprehensive continuous integration and continuous delivery test pipelines integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Develop performance test suites using JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust, including realistic load models and result analysis.
  • Implement security testing fundamentals, including dependency scanning, static application security testing, dynamic application security testing, and OWASP-based checks.
  • Lead test strategy discussions involving risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and shift-left practices.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to identify quality risks early.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of production incidents and translate findings into automated regression tests.
  • Drive continuous improvement of test coverage, test reliability, and time-to-feedback.
  • Mentor junior quality assurance engineers and uphold engineering rigor in the testing community.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, traceability, and reporting dashboards while partnering with stakeholders to align outcomes with team and platform standards.
  • Contribute to internal testing tools and reusable libraries while partnering with stakeholders to produce durable, well-documented outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
  • Hands-on performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
  • Exposure to security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or Snyk.
  • Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing.
  • ISTQB or equivalent quality assurance certification.
  • Experience with code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring more junior engineers.
