Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of project management, construction management, or related experience is required.
  • A Professional Engineer License is highly preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and think analytically.
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and critical task scheduling skills.
  • Active listening and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, motivation, and support.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and take measures to mitigate them before they negatively impact projects.
  • Ability to react quickly and positively in all communication.
  • Competency in managing large projects and/or a significant volume of small to medium projects for key clients annually.
  • Demonstrated financial success on managed projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage civil projects of varying size and complexity, serving as the primary point of contact for teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors or Leaders during project initiation.
  • Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposals, and contract reviews.
  • Develop project schedules, set milestones, and manage deadlines.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and resources across all phases of design and construction.
  • Prepare project status reports, lead progress meetings, and document outcomes.
  • Lead project interviews and presentations.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
  • Build, maintain, and develop client relationships.

IMEG has again been ranked in the Top 10 of the Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) magazine's annual Top 40 Electrical Design Firms list. The Rock Island-based engineering design firm climbed to No. 9 in the 2026 rankings by EC&M. The Top 40 Electrical Design Firms Special Report ranks firms based solely on their electrical design revenues earned in 2025. In a news release Monday, May 18, IMEG said its No. 9 spot comes as it posted $138.3 million in 2025 electrical design revenue - an 11.9% revenue increase from 2024. It ranked No. 8 in the 2025 rankings by EC&M (based on 2024 revenues). The latest recognition marks IMEG's fourth consecutive year in the magazine's Top 10 since 2023.
