Requirements
  • Deep understanding of how students learn and of innovative curriculum and student support strategies that drive student success.
  • Active national certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active unencumbered registered nurse license.
  • Five years of demonstrated teaching excellence in a variety of post-secondary courses.
  • Two years of leadership or supervisory experience in a post-secondary institution.
  • At least four years of related experience, including program profit-and-loss responsibility and the ability to plan and operate degree-granting educational programs focused on student outcomes, student satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Customer or student focus centered on successful outcomes.
  • Understanding of industry trends, job opportunities, and educational market trends in the discipline.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate activities and results across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to coach and develop direct reports.
  • Ability to collaborate with and manage teams, including remote teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization.

Responsibilities
  • Own the program end to end throughout its lifecycle, including pre-definition research, program design and launch, and post-launch adoption and improvement.
  • Conduct market-segment selection, targeted-skills analysis, market-demand analysis, student-demand analysis, competitive analysis, portfolio strategy, pricing, program requirements, and program-level profit-and-loss planning.
  • Build and launch programs by working with academic program directors and subject-matter experts to define curricula and with the program development team to deliver programs with the required quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Work with marketing and partnership teams to drive program adoption among students.
  • Monitor student success within the program and make ongoing program adjustments with stakeholders to improve student outcomes and market relevance.
  • Manage the program-level profit and loss.
  • Drive a culture of continuous experimentation, measurement, and data-based learning to improve quality and delivery to students.
  • Lead academic program leaders, instructional faculty, and student coaches or mentors.
  • Build effective teams by establishing shared objectives, fostering team morale, and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing in a programmatically appropriate or related field.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience developing online education programs and/or developing and scaling rapidly changing organizations or programs.
  • Experience developing curricula and/or high-stakes assessments.
  • Demonstrated success in change management and bringing order and structure to complex situations.
