Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

  • Candidates must be able to communicate on multiple-frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

  • Candidates must scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting or moving up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Candidates must have a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, and reliable, prompt attendance.
  • Candidates must work in varying temperatures, humidity and other environmental conditions when required.
  • Candidates must remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver a consistent, easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained in and consistently delivers Target's guest experience commitments and operational standards.
  • Observe team performance, provide feedback, recognize strong guest experiences and hold team members accountable.
  • Review guest, financial and team outcome metrics, identify opportunities, take corrective action and align the team on behaviors and execution.
  • Model, train and coach team members on guest service expectations and the GUEST service model.
  • Plan and execute daily and weekly workloads to meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement priorities.
  • Plan merchandising sets, update merchandise sets and execute sales plans, events and promotions.
  • Lead onboarding and learning best practices and close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
  • Develop, coach and lead a team of specialty sales consultants.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to maintain brand standards, merchandising execution and product availability.
  • Support changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations for assigned categories.
  • Create visual merchandising moments by organizing and signing products and merchandising them to support seasonal trends.
  • Support backroom organization, layout and replenishment of the sales floor.
  • Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming, clean and safe when applicable.
  • Support the establishment of clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Lead ethical conduct, safety and compliance practices.
  • Identify and correct hazards, respond to incidents, and report and investigate injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model physical security processes and support merchandise protection strategies.
  • Follow safe and secure processes when serving as a key carrier.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leader-on-duty responsibilities.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services, including backup cashiering, order pickup and Drive Up, while complying with adult beverage laws.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
