Position Overview

The Director of Warehouse & Delivery Operations is a dynamic leader who blends strategic vision with operational excellence. This role oversees a small but high-impact warehouse and delivery team, ensuring seamless inventory management, efficient fleet operations, and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. While the Director leads through others, they are also expected to be hands-on—ready to jump in, support the team, and solve problems alongside them when needed. This role requires someone who leads by example, develops talent, and drives performance across all facets of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Inspire and lead a team of supervisors and frontline staff, fostering accountability, engagement, and growth—with a focus on developing future leaders and building a strong succession pipeline.

• Build a culture of ownership where team members take initiative and pride in their work.

• Coach and mentor supervisors to become confident leaders and problem-solvers.

Operational Oversight

• Provide strategic oversight of warehouse operations, ensuring teams are equipped to execute daily tasks with accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

• Lead the inventory management function by setting standards, monitoring performance, and supporting the team responsible for receiving, storage, replenishment, and audits.

• Oversee fleet operations through supervision of the delivery team, ensuring vehicles are maintained, routes are optimized, and deliveries meet service expectations.

• Ensure all operational teams are aligned with safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and company policies.

• Partner with supervisors to identify and resolve operational challenges, continuously improving workflows and service delivery.

Strategic Execution

• Translate organizational goals into actionable plans for the warehouse and delivery teams.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity and service quality.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to support broader business initiatives and customer satisfaction.

Performance & Metrics

• Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, delivery timeliness, fleet utilization, and team productivity.

• Use data to drive decisions, track progress, and communicate results to leadership.

• Proactively address operational challenges and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or delivery operations, with leadership responsibility, including 8+ years of progressive operating responsibility.

• Strong understanding of inventory systems, fleet management, and safety protocols.

• Demonstrated experience managing operational budgets of $10M or more, with a proven track record of improving efficiency and reducing costs.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive operational results.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $100-$120k annual compensation
