Cogeco Inc reported free cash flow of $169 million for Q3, bringing its cumulative total to $450 million after three quarters. The Canadian segment showed strong performance with positive year-on-year adjusted EBITDA growth for the third consecutive quarter. However, the company took a significant noncash impairment charge of CAD1.8 billion (USD1.3 billion) affecting goodwill, driven by competitive pressures in the US market. The US cable sector continues facing turbulence, with management expecting a difficult Q4 and material increase in customer losses. Consolidated debt leverage stood at 3.2 times at quarter end. The company revised its fiscal 2026 current income tax expense assumption to $25 million, down from $40 million.
