Responsibilities
  • Oversee the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions, including daily deposits, automated clearing house transactions, bank reconciliations, commission reconciliations, premium finance agreements, insureds’ direct and agency bill account questions, and follow-up on aged accounts receivable.
  • Evaluate and resolve inquiries related to billing and account status, applying discretion within company guidelines.
  • Maintain oversight of financial records and filing systems, including filing within ImageRight and Microsoft Teams, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with record-keeping standards.
  • Manage accounts payable, including carrier and operating payables, and process return premium checks to insureds.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including oversight of licensing and related documentation.
  • Manage the printing and distribution of SIG invoices and statements and run the daily invoicing process.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to prepare for internal and external audits by gathering, reviewing, and validating supporting documentation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Controller that require financial analysis, judgment, and recommendations to support the organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with insurance industry terminology and practices.
  • Experience with accounting or bookkeeping.
