A Day in the life of a Senior Manager, Change Delivery Lead:
In this role, you will lead the delivery of the most significant and high priority outcomes in Canada while leading a team of project managers deployed against top strategic initiatives. You will drive a culture focused on outcomes, inclusion, and positive change management. You will partner with senior leadership to help design and manage how work is delivered at Capital One Canada.
Your responsibilities will involve the following:
Lead a team of project managers to develop and implement top programs across Canada
Strategically break down ambiguous and high-priority problem statements into thoughtful programs and lead them independently
Provide leverage to project customers by being a strategic and tactical thought partner to effectively drive project delivery and efficiency
Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources and budget and communicate status, impediments, risks, and issues across all levels by understanding the needs of the program and leveraging defined processes, tools, and systems
Function as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to win together (even when they might have dissenting opinions on the path forward) and represent the momentum behind the work
Provide a clear vision of how delivery as a practice supports Canada’s top strategic goals and functions a competitive advantage for the business
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
Proven leader of people with 7+ years of experience leading large-scale projects; coach and player mentality where you will lead people as well as your own projects
Exceptional communication and influence skills built through proven success working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to embed new ways of working
Excellent problem-solving skills, providing structured thinking and understanding to problems, transforming them into actionable work for teams coupled with an unwavering commitment to deliver for our customers
Proactive and low-ego leadership style demonstrated through 4+ years of change management experience in start ups, technology, or consulting firms
Credible track record of improving the effectiveness of delivery in dynamic, matrixed environments
Superior judgment and stakeholder management skills
Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail
Ability to create and deliver inspiring and compelling business presentations to a cross-functional and multi-tiered audience (including C-level executives)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience in delivering large-scale objectives and improvements, preferably in a financial-services or technology setting
At least three years of people leadership experience
Change management certification or proven business experience at scale
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Excel, JIRA , and Confluence skills
PMP or similar certification is a plus
Experience working in agile, lean, and SAFe environments strongly preferred
