Requirements
  • Considerable risk and control experience with customer support operations within a regulated environment
  • Experience with risk governance meetings/committees and collating data and writing supporting commentary
  • Understanding of The Consumer Duty and conduct risk, and experience applying these regulations and principles to day-to-day work
  • Experience with RCSAs, control testing, and issue and action management
  • Excitement about helping Monzo scale in a compliant, thoughtful, and controlled way
  • Resilience and comfort working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Ability to meet people where they are at and be a bridge between internal teams and represent Monzo before auditors and regulators
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and make prioritization decisions
Responsibilities
  • Being responsible for risk and control governance meetings
  • Leading risk assessments
  • Supporting the first line in developing and improving controls
  • Ensuring governance-related requirements are met
  • Managing and reporting on the risk and control environment
  • Managing regulatory and audit deadlines and submissions
  • Helping to innovate and improve upon the effectiveness of governance and risk management processes
  • Helping to embed robust regulatory, conduct, and operational risk practices and culture
  • Fostering positive and collaborative relationships across the three lines of defence
