Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three to five years of welding and metal fabrication experience, preferably within heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing, or aerial lift manufacturing, is required.
  • Proficiency in metal inert gas welding, blueprint interpretation, weld symbols, and fabrication tools is required.
  • The ability to pass an in-house welding certification test and consistently produce quality welds while meeting production goals is required.
  • The ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and adapt to changing production priorities is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform metal inert gas welding and fabrication of structural steel components and assemblies according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to cut, fit, assemble, and fabricate metal components accurately.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts using visual and non-destructive inspection methods to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot welding and fabrication defects, perform root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while following Lean manufacturing practices, 5S standards, and production procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical welding training or certification from the American Welding Society or an equivalent organization.
  • Experience with high-strength steels.
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience within heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing, or aerial lift manufacturing.
