OBA / Welding Quality Inspector

Job Description

Role: OBA Inspector/WELDING QUALITY INSPECTOR

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 4-6 weeks OR LONG TERM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the work cells in the audit function, acting as a customer representative.
• Select, identify, scan and visually inspect samples based on lot size using knowledge of visuals, packaging and testing requirements.
• Visual verification of solder and cosmetic requirements as required in applicable IPC or other specifications.
• Ability to interpret customer documentation as related to finished product requirements.
• Work to meet deadlines without compromising product quality.
• Communicate clearly all findings to the appropriate work teams and management personnel.
• Desire to continually improve the process and efficiency of the department.
• Complete all OBA paperwork; daily logs, sort sheets, lot numbers and certificates of compliance
• Complete up corrective action sheets
• Maintain audit records and associated documentation as required
• Support the resolution of audit nonconformity with the appropriate inspection personnel
• Provide accurate, timely feedback of production issues to the work-cell teams
• Escalate issues and declining trends to the appropriate personnel for resolution
• First line of communication to the quality engineering staff on manufacturing or process related issues
• Understanding of customer requirements and expectations
• Open communication with the production teams
