Position Summary:
The Private Residential Real Estate Debt platform is focused on direct origination, acquisition, and management of a diverse spectrum of residential real estate debt and related exposures across the capital structure, including real estate transitional finance (i.e., debt or equity investments secured by residential construction, development, value-add renovation, or rehabilitation projects), bridge finance, stabilized rental property finance, and non-agency residential mortgage finance – all with a strong current emphasis on single-family and smaller-balance muti-family real estate collateral across a diverse geographic footprint.
The team is seeking a Business Analyst, a role which focuses spans responsibilities of both administrative support and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Research and Analysis
- Support the credit research team by compiling and analyzing data for pre-acquisition investment analysis.
- Aid portfolio management and operations teams in organizing and distributing mortgage documents for client portfolios.
- Generate reports for the loan servicing oversight team to enhance the management of mortgage loans and related investments.
- Assist with tasks related to client requests and portfolio needs as they arise.
Client Communications
- Collaborate with the senior portfolio management team to manage and prioritize client requests and communications.
- Respond to client inquiries as appropriate and work with the Client Service team when needed.
- Compile data and draft responses for client communications, updating presentation materials as necessary.
- Work closely with team members to ensure timely and thorough client correspondence.
Administrative Coordination
- Manage and maintain executive calendars.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, client requests, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, and presentations.
- Collect and analyze data to prepare reports as needed.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Assist in meeting preparations, including agenda creation, document distribution, and minute-taking.
- Manage expense reports, ensuring accurate review and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. real estate, finance, business)
- At least 1+ year of experience in a relevant role or industry. Recent graduates could be considered for this position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and in particular, Excel) and other collaboration, presentation, and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage, organize, and analyze data
- Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care and integrity
- Passion for learning and implementing new technologies
