What we do:
Our team meticulously oversees every minute detail of our infrastructure, ensuring complete control by constructing and managing each component of our computing systems. Our robust network includes over 2000 systems, comprising a blend of Windows servers and advanced trading workstations.
We recognize that Infrastructure as Code is the optimal approach for scaling effectively and maintaining cutting-edge standards. Our goal is to address infrastructure operation challenges through innovative software solutions. We are currently seeking Software Engineers who are not only adept in coding but also possess a robust understanding of networking or the intricacies of Windows/VMware kernel internals. Our teams represent a dynamic convergence of these skill sets.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will become a pivotal member of the Enterprise Infrastructure team, specializing in Windows-based trading systems. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other experts across our networks and platform teams, leveraging their insights and expertise to enhance our systems’ performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design and implementation of our infrastructure management systems, with a primary focus on writing PowerShell code.
- Responsible for a variety of areas including modeling, provisioning, configuration management, debugging, writing and reviewing code, observability, and deployment.
- Help us elevate our next-generation observability stack by designing advanced Windows monitoring systems that operate effectively at a large scale.
- Extend our REST API framework.
- Optimize and standardize the management and utilization of essential infrastructure services such as Active Directory and DNS.
- Create a globally consistent CI/CD pipeline for our configuration-as-code system.
- Collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams to implement updates in our infrastructure and enhance support for operations.
- Be a part of our team’s on-call rotation.
Who you are:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in PowerShell and/or Python, with expertise in building tools for infrastructure automation using these languages.
- Proven experience with automation and infrastructure.
- The capability to effectively manage your time and prioritize tasks in collaboration with other teams.
- A proactive approach to problem solving.
- High attention to detail coupled with strong communication skills.
- Experience with configuration management.
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, networking, bare metal server management.
