- Track the execution and amendment of project-related agreements, including contracts, under the direction of Project Managers, collaborating with Legal and Finance when needed.
- Maintain project information in the appropriate location so that all project-related information is current, complete, and accessible, with guidance from Project Managers.
- Assist Project Managers with project meeting management, including scheduling meetings, compiling and distributing agendas, recording and distributing meeting reports, maintaining an action-items log, and following up on assigned project tasks.
- Coordinate internal project-team interactions through scheduling and communication, with guidance from the Project Manager and project leadership.
- Assist Project Managers in maintaining project schedules and staffing in the firm’s internal project-planning web-based software, including billing and financial projections.
- Assist Project Managers with tracking implementation documents and deliverables through all project phases, including capturing lessons learned and project impacts.
- Assist Project Managers with tracking project job costs, budgets, and resourcing projections based on the established work plan and approved project parameters.
- Support billing processes by ensuring project financial data is accurate and current, assisting with invoice review, and coordinating with Finance and Project Accounting as needed.
- Support Project Managers in monitoring project financial data by verifying invoice status and identifying items requiring Project Manager review before document issuance.
- Track and monitor project reimbursable expenses in accordance with project agreements and firm procedures, escalating discrepancies as needed.
- Track permit submittals and assist in the submittal process as needed.
- Attend project meetings, staffing meetings, or site visits as needed.
- Prior experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe software, including InDesign and Illustrator, to create and edit graphic materials and presentations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and its functionality is preferred.
- Familiarity with Vision or enterprise resource planning software is preferred.
- Training in Lean Six Sigma is preferred.

Design-Build lessons from a 1.8-million-square-foot campus neighborhood. How early planning and design-build coordination protected high-performance goals on a six-building campus project. More green building blog. Delivering LEED Platinum on a single building is challenging. Doing it across six buildings totaling 1.8 million square feet - while working under a fixed-price design-build contract - is something else entirely. In part 1 of this series, Green Building Advisor examined how the North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood (NTPLLN) at the University of California, San Diego, used climate-specific natural ventilation, modeling, and enclosure improvements to reduce measured energy use by 81%. Operable windows, trickle vents, negative-pressure exhaust, and massing tuned to prevailing breezes formed the backbone of the project's passive strategy. But high-performance design is only half the story; the second half is delivery. Designed by HKS in collaboration with Clark Construction, Safdie Rabines Architects, OJB Landscape Architecture, and a large consultant team, the 1.8-million-square-foot development required six individual buildings to achieve LEED Platinum under a fixed-price design-build contract - with only three and a half months allocated for the competition phase. HKS announces Regenerative Design team. HKS has launched a new Regenerative Design team, deepening the firm's commitment to a systems-thinking approach to design that aims to create net-positive impact for people, planet and ecosystems across projects and practices. "Regenerative design reflects a necessary shift in how we think about the built environment - moving beyond reducing harm to creating places that actively restore and strengthen ecological and community systems," said Tony Montalto, HKS Chief Design Officer. "We have an opportunity to design places that give more than they take. By establishing a dedicated regenerative design team, HKS is expanding our ability to create buildings and environments that help ecosystems recover, strengthen communities and generate lasting value for our clients and the people they serve." The new HKS team brings together expertise in regenerative design, net-positive projects and nature-based solutions. With their HKS colleagues, they will continue the firm's exploration of a holistic approach to design that considers how buildings, landscapes and communities can respond to climate, restore habitats, generate clean energy, balance water cycles, sequester carbon, support material health and circularity, and expand wellness, equity and access. Olivia Raymundo is an artist and designer from South Florida who holds both a Bachelor of Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida. Her research centers on domestic craft as documentation, with a focus on issues of memory, ephemerality, and identity. E.J. Shin, design professional. E.J. is an entry-level designer with a background in civil and structural engineering and architecture from Columbia University.
