Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience with HVAC or Ammonia or formal training in HVAC or Ammonia.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience or 6 months of formal training in at least two of the mechanical areas listed: Mechanical Trouble Shooting, Electrical Trouble Shooting, Hydraulic Trouble Shooting, PLC Controls, Three Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Pneumatic Systems; to exclude Building Maintenance.
  • Must have HVAC certification.
  • Must be familiar with Plant Compressed Air systems and all water supply systems (Ex: Chill water, Hot water supply system, City water and Glycol systems).
  • Must be a member of the Hazmat Team and pass required physical.
  • Must be capable to read, write, and use math skills in order to complete necessary paperwork.
  • Must be able to work competently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and conduct safety checks throughout their area.
  • Complete Tyson Level 1 through 4 Skills Training within eighteen (18) months of being placed in the position.
  • Follow all Hazmat grooming requirements and become Hazmat Certified.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
