A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator is required.
Familiarity with Mori Seiki and Mazak controls is required.
Experience setting up various accessory-level machined parts is required.
Knowledge of setting up lathe tools, including teaching and touching off each tool for either control, is required.
Ability to accurately read outside-diameter and inside-diameter micrometers and MRP instruments is required.
Ability to read and interpret prints, dimensions, and tolerances is required.
A good understanding of machine shop operations and processes is required.
Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
Ability to read blueprints, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments is required.
Ability to understand and execute instructions is required.
The candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities
Assist in performing setups.
Operate a computer numerical control lathe in accordance with operating instructions.
Adjust the computer numerical control program or machine control offsets to ensure compliance with dimensions and quality requirements.
Use precision gauges, micrometers, and other applicable measurement instruments to validate product compliance.
Maximize efficiency and productivity.
Ensure the quality of work meets all requirements.
Follow company work instructions, specifications, and requirements.
Follow company rules, procedures, and policies.
Desired Qualifications
Mazak experience is preferred.
Training may be offered to candidates with basic understanding who have not previously run a Mazak machine.
CNC Machinist (Temp-to-Hire) Pay: Starting @ $20 and up DOE Location: Houston 77073 (Next to IAH/ Greenspoint Area) Shift: 60-72 hours/ week Night 4pm-4am 5-6 days per week but schedule can vary with production demands
