Requirements
- High school education or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator is required.
- Familiarity with Mori Seiki and Mazak controls is required.
- Experience setting up various accessory-level machined parts is required.
- Knowledge of setting up lathe tools, including teaching and touching off each tool for either control, is required.
- Ability to accurately read outside-diameter and inside-diameter micrometers and MRP instruments is required.
- Ability to read and interpret prints, dimensions, and tolerances is required.
- A good understanding of machine shop operations and processes is required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
- Ability to read blueprints, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments is required.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions is required.
- The candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Steel-toe boots are required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing setups.
- Operate a computer numerical control lathe in accordance with operating instructions.
- Adjust the computer numerical control program or machine control offsets to ensure compliance with dimensions and quality requirements.
- Use precision gauges, micrometers, and other applicable measurement instruments to validate product compliance.
- Maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the quality of work meets all requirements.
- Follow company work instructions, specifications, and requirements.
- Follow company rules, procedures, and policies.
Desired Qualifications
- Mazak experience is preferred.
- Training may be offered to candidates with basic understanding who have not previously run a Mazak machine.
