Requirements
  • A current Nursing Assistant License in the State of New Hampshire is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support authorization is preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare visit charts by ensuring diagnostic test results, emergency or urgent care reports, discharge summaries, and consult or primary-care-provider reports are available to the provider.
  • Room patients for provider visits according to documented criteria, including chief complaint, allergies, vital signs, medication review, tobacco history, last menstrual period, incontinence screening, health-maintenance overrides, and timely documentation.
  • Obtain and accurately document age- or condition-specific measurements, including vital signs, height, weight, bladder scans, and pulse oximetry.
  • Document information using clear, concise, and professional written skills.
  • Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Manage clinical supplies and medication sample areas by keeping stock current, storing items appropriately, labeling supplies, and maintaining par levels.
  • Serve as a principal preceptor in the clinical orientation of new staff.
  • Identify emergent situations, communicate with appropriate personnel for intervention, and function in emergencies pertinent to the role.
