SMCI projects $65B–$72B revenue, lifting Dell and HPE shares in pre-market trading

Super Micro Computer projected fiscal 2027 revenue of $65–$72 billion, significantly exceeding the analyst consensus of $52.50 billion. The guidance sent SMCI shares up roughly 9% in pre-market trading Wednesday. Dell Technologies and Hewlett Packard Enterprise rose in sympathy, gaining 2.6% and 2.2% respectively, as investors view SMCI's results as a demand indicator for AI server hardware. SMCI's fourth-quarter gross margin reached 17.5%, surpassing its preliminary estimate of 15%–17%. Fourth-quarter revenue nearly doubled year-over-year to $11.12 billion, though it fell short of the $11.55 billion consensus.
