Expressable provides online speech therapy for children and adults, matching patients with licensed speech-language pathologists for one-on-one sessions conducted remotely. Sessions take place via teletherapy from home, with flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, and weekends. The model combines family-centered, research-based care with technology and educational resources to integrate therapy into daily life, aiming to improve outcomes. For adults, offerings include transgender voice therapy to help clients find a voice that matches their identity. Revenue comes from insurance (including Medicaid) and direct payments, with options for HSAs/FSAs; it also offers a flat-rate structure for initial evaluations and ongoing therapy for out-of-pocket payers. What believers are saying

  • A 2024 $26 million Series B funded therapist hiring and platform expansion.
  • Expressable now reaches Amazon customers through Health Benefits Connector, expanding insured demand.
  • Insurance pages in 2026 show broad coverage across commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare plans.

What critics are saying

  • PresenceLearning, eLuma, and TinyEYE pressure pricing in school teletherapy deals.
  • Expressable depends on insurer contracting; stalled renewals block growth and squeeze margins.
  • If Amazon shifts distribution, Expressable loses its strongest 2026 customer-acquisition channel.

What makes Expressable unique

  • Expressable pairs W2 speech-language pathologists with one-on-one online sessions nationwide.
  • It accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and hundreds of insurers, easing family adoption.
  • Amazon's Health Benefits Connector chose Expressable as its first speech therapy provider.
