Requirements

Responsibilities
  • The Health Informatics Specialist II will actively participate in the utilization of the EHR system (NextGen) for all CentroMed Clinics, including planning, implementation, training and maintenance of all EHR endeavors
  • Develops in depth knowledge of the system capabilities, applications and processes to function effectively as an educator and troubleshooter for system users.
  • Provides EHR documentation expertise and provides training when deemed necessary
  • Ensures clinical documentation protocols developed are being utilized and actively participate in improvement efforts
  • Participates in the development of health informatics protocols
  • Assists in Meaningful Use endeavors
  • Provides telephonic troubleshooting guidance during operational hours
  • Participates in testing of system upgrades and processes
  • Troubleshoots end users concerns and provides guidance on improvement
  • Works closely with the EHR team in the assurance of documentation requirements
  • Assist the EHR team in configuration, and customization and testing of all systems which are integrated into the EHR.
  • Participates in the agency’s CPI Program.
  • Understands and upholds CentroMed’s mission and values relating to ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility and objectives
  • Actively participates in maintaining high levels of excellent customer service internally and externally
  • Abides by all policies and procedures set forth by CentroMed
  • Ensure the protection and security of all personal, confidential and identifiable information in a professional and responsible manner and carry out all measures to prevent from unauthorized disclosures. Demonstrating and maintaining the standards and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Assists in training new employees in performing their job duties as requested.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
  • Work must be performed on-site as designated
