Requirements

  • Subject matter expertise in mechanism design, bearing design and analysis, gearing design and analysis, electromechanical systems, servo systems, power transfer, solar array pointing systems, electro-optical gimbals, failure analysis
Responsibilities
  • Act as the senior-most technical expert across all Systems and Mechanical engineering programs
  • Provide engineering leadership and mentoring
  • Help define engineering processes and standards
  • Assess and disposition technical risks
  • Establish and maintain design review criteria
  • Lead critical FRB activities
  • Provide independent review of corrective actions
  • Facilitate technical trades and advise teams
  • Develop engineering staff and provide technical expertise
