- Two years of experience.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including constant standing and walking; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, gripping, keyboard use, data entry, and visual, hearing, and speech demands; occasional and rare physical activities as specified.
- Ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery and to use vision for distance, spatial relationships, and color identification.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities, equipment, and associated systems, including fire systems, tube systems, equipment repair, nurse call systems, infant abduction systems, life-safety components, paging systems, medical gas systems, locks, and doors.
- Perform repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and compile documentation according to established policies and procedures.
- Identify and request parts and components needed to complete maintenance tasks.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives on equipment repair and replacement.
- Assist contractors and other personnel with connections and shut-offs for water and fire systems.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, including changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts, and installing light fixtures.
- Perform carpentry and minor construction projects, including installing or repairing drywall, walls, flooring, ceramic tile, cabinetry, countertops, and shelving, and performing painting.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and trash, moving materials and equipment, sweeping floors, and storing materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
