Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience managing student engagement programs or retention programs in Higher Education or programs for college-aged students
  • Evidence of designing, developing, and implementing successful programs
  • Track record of developing and maintaining active communities
  • Experience successfully building and leading teams
  • Experience building and nurturing long-lasting and mutually productive professional relationships
  • Strong collaborator and team player who values giving and receiving feedback
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing professionalism, tact, and diplomacy

Responsibilities
  • Build shared definition of community amongst CodePath internal team that provides clear definitions of community membership, retention and engagement life cycle
  • Create national engagement strategy and related pillars that is adaptable to fit regional and local university partner programs
  • Create student engagement charter for CodePath university partner programs that focuses on created structured, sustainable, and scalable practices
  • Build connections between university partner local programs driving sense of belonging to larger university partner regional and national program
  • With regional Community Engagement Managers, develop a university partner program student leadership structure that fosters a self-sustaining and scalable student community
  • Define and institute CodePath student values and norms
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase student engagement across various platforms, including the Career Center services, Slack channels, and in-course activities
  • With the marketing team, develop an awareness, enrollment and conversion campaign that can be customized to fit various CodePath course pathways including the university partner program
  • Build a roster of national, regional and local community events that engage the community in knowledge building, connections and build technical readiness
  • Develop and implement a student leadership structure at the national, regional and local level that fosters sustainability and scalability
  • Utilize data and community insights to create peer-peer learning initiatives, and technical collaboration programs (open source contribution groups, etc.)
  • With the Volunteer and Alumni Manager, expand the utilization of CodePath Mentor Network increasing mentorship opportunities within CodePath
  • With regional and local teams, develop the local university partner mentor initiative to include objectives, training and measurable outcomes
  • Engage CodePath student leaders in workshops, trainings and access to resources that increase their ability to build community with CodePath
  • Increase the utilization of Career Center services to prepare students for the job market, including resume workshops, interview prep, and networking events
  • Establish a sense of belonging with national, regional and local students producing evidence of peer connections across all levels
