The team behind Niantic’s newly released NBA All-World game is looking for a passionate Senior Unity Full-Stack Engineer, NBA All-World to join our amazing team! As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support an extraordinary team and partner studios to reinvent how basketball is played and enjoyed.

You will bring your wealth of Unity experience and a solid understanding of client server architecture to accomplish what needs to be done. You will support integrations, solve problems, and implement meaningful features to make a substantial impact on the project. You have a self-starter mentality with a strong technical background and great execution. You love to jump into the unknown, clarify ambiguities, quickly learn from failures, and break down vague ideas into concrete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support our partner studios to unblock, troubleshoot, and ship the next iteration of our game.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, QA, product managers, and other game teams to implement new features.
• Design and implement cross-platform code for Android/iOS that is portable across multiple game platforms.
• Own features end to end from client implementation to server requests.
• Perform performance profiling on mobile devices, participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure code and technology meets internal standards.
• Work with groundbreaking AR technology to develop features, and feedback, for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
• Required in-office 3 days on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or other technical major, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of work experience on games with Unity or can demonstrate proficiency in it.
• 3D game engine experience, particularly in Unity3D.
• Proficient working in C# for Unity and Java.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.

• Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.

The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $170,000 - $221,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
