Requirements
  • Current enrollment or recent graduation in a related bachelor's degree program.
  • No previous experience required.
  • A strong academic record with coursework in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assist in planning, designing, and executing projects, including research, data analysis, and hands-on tasks.
  • Provide technical support to engineers and team members through troubleshooting, testing, and equipment or systems maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records, documentation, project logs, test results, design specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct research on relevant engineering topics and industry trends, analyze data, and propose recommendations.
  • Work with design, manufacturing, and quality-control teams to support project success.
  • Follow workplace safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timely participation in work, meetings, and assignments.
  • Maintain accurate routing and bills of material files in the corporate manufacturing data management system.
  • Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment, including workplace layouts and methods.
  • Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop plans and appropriation requests, and manage project implementation through completion within the allotted timeframe.
  • Assist support personnel with less complex technical matters.
  • Develop, install, and maintain processes for the safe, productive manufacture of quality products.
  • Coordinate creation of product and technical drawings requested by customers or sales.
  • Identify and distribute installation instructions for customer and sales requests and product-management support.
  • Provide sales and customer support with product technical information, including load capacities, dimensional details, product cube, and weight.
  • Create new colors and finishes, including color matching, vendor interaction, and pricing-tier development.
  • Collect data and analyze trends to resolve customer problems and support continuous-improvement projects.
  • Conduct quality-system audits to ensure consistency in processes and procedures.
  • Assist departments and team members with quality-related questions, issues, documentation, and production-employee training requests.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve quality problems.
  • Support customer visits, sample or prototype setups, and training as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required depending on assignment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Maynard Operation Sequence Technique or a similar measurement system.
  • General knowledge of standard manufacturing processes.
  • Welding knowledge.
  • 2D or 3D modeling experience.
  • Ability to use measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and various electronic meters.
