Assistant Manager Security

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager Security to join our team in Mumbai, India. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our security program to safeguard our property, employees, and assets while ensuring a safe environment for all stakeholders.

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Lead and manage the security team, ensuring efficient delegation of tasks and responsibilities
• Conduct regular risk assessments and analyze security challenges to develop innovative solutions
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and secure experience for employees and visitors
• Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of security systems and equipment
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents and emergencies
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to security in Mumbai and India
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on security matters
• Conduct security awareness training for staff members
• Continuously improve security protocols and procedures to adapt to evolving threats
• Manage budgets and resources for the security department effectively

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a security management role, preferably in a corporate setting
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to security challenges
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
• Proficiency in security management software and systems
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and crisis management
• Familiarity with Indian security regulations and the local security landscape in Mumbai
• Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are highly desirable
• Experience with emergency response planning and execution
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to adapt to evolving security threats and implement innovative solutions
