Requirements
  • BS in Engineering or Technical discipline required.
  • Two years working as a Reliability or Process/Manufacturing Engineer, preferable in the electromechanical field
  • Six-Sigma training and / or certification preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in the following is preferred: IR or similar technology, Quality systems ala ISO 9001:2015, Problem solving methodology and failure analysis tools, Statistical process control, Measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R), Supplier quality development, Optical and mechanical inspection skills, Electro-mechanical shaker systems and environmental chambers, MS Office applications (must be proficient with Excel), Statistical and reliability software applications
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Responsibilities
  • Contributes to product development as a sustaining team member supporting Teledyne FLIR’s Cooled and Uncooled Camera System level products.
  • Conducts product and process qualification planning, testing, and reporting for new designs and processes.
  • Responsible for fielded reliability metrics and reporting
  • Facilitates Supplier & component qualification.
  • Coordinates containment and corrective action for non-conforming material.
  • Acts as primary Quality and Reliability Representative with suppliers and customers.
  • Leads regular quality status and improvement activities
  • Conducts Failure/Trend Analysis and Analytical Problem Solving and recommends and implements corrective actions.
  • Generates quality procedures and work instructions as needed.
  • Travels as required to suppliers, customers and/or outside labs as needed.
  • Strong cross-functional activities with Systems Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, Customers, Suppliers, Executive Leadership.
